Assistant Manager Sales

flexible and versatile Sale Person who will be responsible for the growth of our
inbound sales and having experience in the civil construction industry.
As an Assistant Manager Sales in the construction industry, your primary
responsibility will be to develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. You will play a crucial role in expanding the customer base and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. This position requires a strong combination of sales expertise, construction industry knowledge, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop sales strategies: Create comprehensive sales plans and strategies to penetrate new markets, attract potential clients, and increase sales volumes. Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitor activities, and industry trends.
- Generate leads and acquire new clients: Proactively identify and pursue new
business opportunities. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients through networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging existing relationships. Present company products and services to potential clients, addressing their needs and highlighting the value proposition. - Client relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and requests. Collaborate with other departments to deliver excellent customer service and address any issues that arise.
- Sales team management: Recruit, train, and lead a team of sales professionals. Set sales targets, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and guidance to ensure the team meets or exceeds sales objectives. Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment.
- Sales forecasting and reporting: Analyze sales data, monitor market trends, and generate regular reports on sales activities, revenue, and market share. Provide accurate sales forecasts and contribute to the development of annual budgets and strategic plans.
- Collaboration with other departments: Collaborate with marketing, operations, and other internal teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives. Provide feedback on market demands, customer
preferences, and competitor activities to support product development and
marketing initiatives. - Stay updated on industry trends: Continuously enhance your knowledge of the construction industry, including emerging technologies, regulations, and market dynamics. Stay informed about competitors’ products, pricing, and sales strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager in the construction industry or a similar field
- In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, including products, services, and market trends
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics tools
- Ability to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events
